组合使用两种抗衰老药物延长小鼠寿命三成，而且小鼠也更健康，慢性炎症变少，癌症出现也推迟了。这两种药物是 rapamycin 和 trametinib，分别用于治疗不同类型的癌症，它们在动物实验中都表现出延寿的潜力。在最新研究中，德国马普的研究人员调查了单独使用和组合使用两种药物对小鼠寿命的影响。结果显示，单独使用 rapamycin 可使小鼠的寿命延长 17%-18%，trametinib 有助于将寿命延长了 7%-16%。组合使用下小鼠寿命延长了 26%-35%。除此之外，小鼠肝脏和脾脏肿瘤生长延缓了，大脑、肾脏、脾脏和肌肉中与年龄相关的炎症减少了。相比对照组，实验组小鼠在年长时健康状况更好。实验中雌鼠的效果好于雄鼠。
